Full-time

MLOps Engineer

About the role

A position building the learning infrastructure behind Muso-roid, our general-purpose robot worker. You will design and operate the entire ML infrastructure for physical AI — from pipelines for data collected from real robots and teleoperation, to training, evaluation, and deployment platforms for VLA models, to inference environments.

Responsibilities

  • Build and operate pipelines from ingestion of data collected from real robots and teleoperation, through preprocessing, to training datasets
  • Build ML infrastructure that automates training, evaluation, and deployment of VLA models
  • Design storage and quality management for video and time-series data
  • Build inference environments spanning cloud, on-premises, and real robots
  • Build teleoperation environments using VR/AR
  • Build automated model-evaluation systems

Why this role

  • Design from scratch one of the few physical-AI ML platforms in Japan handling real robots and real field data
  • Own the entire MLOps pipeline, from data collection to deployment, with wide discretion
  • Shape technology choices and engineering culture as a founding-phase engineer

Required

  • Experience building web/mobile apps and cloud systems for real robots
  • Experience building training infrastructure in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, etc.)
  • Development experience on Linux
  • AI development experience

Nice to have

  • Experience curating large-scale training datasets
  • Experience building low-latency communication infrastructure
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines using simulators

Who we're looking for

  • You insist on building robots that are truly used and relied on in the field — not built for demos
  • You enjoy the absence of structure, and can design and establish things from zero to one
  • You welcome autonomy and speed in a small team, and drive yourself forward

Employment & salary

  • Employment: full-time
  • Salary: 6M–15M JPY (depending on experience and skills)
  • Working style: discretionary labor system for professional work

Location

Daini TOC Bldg. 6F, 7-21-11 Nishi-Gotanda, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo

Benefits

  • Full social insurance
  • Two days off per week (Sat/Sun) and national holidays
  • 20 days of paid leave, granted from the first year
